The result against a mediocre team

To be beaten by the bulldogs is a strong indication of where we stand going forward.I would be surprised if we win any of the games going into the finals and based on that performance we will loose the first round of the finals. This end of the season you need to be clinical and we were anything but. Dropped balls poor passes shit kick options. Against a good team this would have been an ugly game.

  • Yeah..... rite

  • Dogs have won 6 of they're last 8. They are on the crest of a wave and played with great confidence and energy tonight. Hats off to em.

Poor old Sivo dropped 3 over the line.

    • Mate the dogs have nothing to play for. We should have won tonight. With a top 4 spot on the line we had to play smarter.

  • Yes no way we will beat the broncos next week, just making up the numbers and hard to disagree

  • I don’t know about that.

We always seem to drop our standards when playing against poor teams, but in saying that, the dogs have been going well lately, and they would’ve beaten a few other teams tonight as well.

Reckon you will see a different Parra the next few weeks IMO.

  • Dogs are travelling well and played upbeat footy tonight. Was always a danger game for us.

The word is ‘lose’. Why can’t people get it right!

  • Rubbish! The Bulldogs are a much better team than the NRL ladder indicates! Add to that, that a loss this time of the year is not detrimental to the Eels before finals football. Then add to that the fact there were some very poor refereeing calls in the game. The Bulldogs got away with far more than The Eels players did. Holding back Eels players, laying all over Eels players, forward passes, penalty try etc...... The NRL  didn't want the Eels to win, plain and simple.

    • Agree.. even seemed like the commentators were rooting for the dogs... we certainly didn’t get the rub of the green tonight

    • Arra was the oWhat a load of crap. Parra got out played, and ya know what we got away with some shit to.

    • in the first half particularly, the dogs got many a leg up to get out of trouble and up the field - i think i counted 5 in a row where tackle 1 or 2 there was a rubbish call to get them upfield. Then get up the other end and Lewis and co hold on for an eternity and no whistle....it definitely lacked consistency.

Eels were their own worst enemy at times but, dropped balls aside, it was a fairly entertaining and hard match.

"Good old karma, it can be a real bitch. I don't mind watching Gould's world crash and burn. Galvin will develop into a good player, but at the moment he's like a spanner in the works."
