Hi all, how good are those EELS going!
A few years back we had a fellow by the name of Mr Nolan, he was head of Parra's recruitment. Under his watchful eye he made some very shrewd appointments for our club and we are now seeing the fruits of his labor.
He seemed to leave no stone unturned Fiji, New Zealand and even jails.
Please correct me if i'm wrong but some of his draftees included:
# Daniel Alvaro
# Kenny Edwards
# David Gower
# Manu Ma'u
# Tepai Maroa
# Semi Radradra
# Beven French
and # Josh Aloiai (now with the tigers), more could be on that list that i'm unaware of.
Not a bad list of players in front of us NOW, but 4 years ago most of them you would of asked WHO?
Nolan has an eye for untapped talent, most of these players are very influential in the clubs set up.
Are we still turning the room upside down to find these diamonds in the rough?
Has the new head recruitment officer brought much to the table after Nolan departed us?
Not bagging him, just curious.............
UP THE BLOODY EELS!!! ........SCE

Roger you bring up a good point. What do you think an acceptable strike rate is for a recruitment officer? Is it 1/5 to make first grade or more like 1/10?
Thanks Roger for the feedback. I'm by all means not in the know, but the main players I was referring to are Kenny, Semi and Ma'u. I actually thought Alvaro was a QLD'r??
Cheers...
Believe it or not I actually work with Mr (Peter) Nolan's son at a central Queensland coal mine. Peter is back as the recruitment officer at the Broncos. All I will say publically is I am very jealous and that there is definately some truth in what is in the media.
Thanks , slip..
I did hear he played a major roll in keeping Maroa with us when union came knocking.
