I rarely write a blog on an upcoming game but I felt that no one was making the point of how Tigers will be so up for this game. "well they are making that point, but saying it wont be enough"

"We seem mostly to be complacent" and that Parra typically loses these games because of it, well thats the rhetoric but everyone is awake to that, surely we cant be complacent given the start we have had?

I differ somewhat in that some teams have an aura about them that a lot of sides are beaten before they start.......Over the years that will be Roosters, Storm, Penrith (now)

Parramatta does not present such fear, a matter of fact because our record against lower ranked sides is relatively poor, they are all encouraged against Parra....."we can beat them"!

Now I dont think Parra will be complacent and if we had faced Wests/Tigers on any of the preceding rounds then we would have won convincingly.........but this game is different!

This leads me to I have not seen a side like this Wests side with as much media and sentiment against them, its like they can doing nothing right. They have been ruthlessly smashed in the media!

I believe in the laws of Karma and it can be a powerful force in driving you when you feel like you have been hard done by......how many times last year did we get a thrashing and come back and beat a big name side in the next round.....even our win against Penrith this season had a bit of that aura about it.

"So look out Parra" is the unspoken will of what must be a "truly motivated" Tigers that can hurt us the most......

I can paint many scenarios but they are all "what ifs".....of course we should win and maybe easily but my advice is for Parra to keep looking for ambushes, because the scene is set for plenty.

  • I have said this all week, it is legit that Wests can beat us. All the news around them on their performance, Justin Pascoe, Luke Brooks and the ANZAC jersey fiasco is going to add fuel to their fire to prove people wrong, players like Koroisau, Klemmer and Papali'i are not used to this rabble at a club, so they gonna light a fire also.

Only thing i will say is in our favour, and said this numerous times, we are desperate too. We should have more than 1 win, so we could come out firing. Players like Russell and Dunster need to have a good game to keep their spots.

I could see it being a rough game the first 50 or so, being close then quality from us takes over and snag a few points to win comfortably. Last year i said same too, we needed to go in and grind early, let quality prevail later. What did we do? Come out trying to blow Wests out of the water with stupid players and forcing errors, Wests score on their first legitamate opportunity and we panic and play catch-up.

We are a much better squad then Wests, but our recent form could be a blessing in that we are not as confident and have a point to prove. Had we beaten Easts last week, i would be more concerned as we would come in thinking we are all good now.

    • They can't beat us, we can lose to them, but they can't outright beat us.

      • Lol Brett. That totally doesn't make an ounce of sense.

        • Well nuance is lost on you Chief

        • Wests  shall be smote,  like the ram before God.       Hardy, act 1 scene 2.

          • It that a sequel to laurel & hardy strikes again LOL

There would only be a dozen of us here that would even know who Laurel & Hardy were,. as I twirl my tie!

Hey talking about that "how are those rams going"

            • "So what are we gonna do now Ollie"

        • It does to Brett as he's on an extremely higher intellectual level than us peasants

          • In your case about 10 levels higher Drooper and what are you doing on here, this is an adult blog, shouldn't you be running around the streets with your peer group? School's back Tuesday.....I ass u me that aplies to special schools as well Droops.

            • I'm really enjoying my school holidays 😄
