The Raiders home game away from home.

Some people on here are unhappy about us takeing a bankwest game to Darwin, We have have won 3/4 up there,

Admitting takeing a warm climate team like the cowboys to Darwin was a silly mistake. But if i had to choose a team to take to Darwin it would be the raiders, Because they are a cold climate team, i can see their big boys struggle in a heat they will find hard to adapt to. I Believe we can beat them up there. Parra by 8.

  • And considering there best players atm are Englishmen!

we all know how they handle the heat lol, I’m hoping for a scorcher, Wich parra paid a lot of attention to in their preseason. In saying that I think we will handle the conditions Much better than Canbera.

  • They will love the heat ahead of the much cooler Canberra ( and English )climate . It will be like a trip to the pacific islands in winter . Beautiful as not required to warm up for 2 hours before a game . And it is winter in the territory not summer or even spring . Sorry but we will have to beat Canberra on merits ???

    • We will have to agree to disagree on this one.

There is allot of merit in what i said,

it is Currenrtly 29  degrees in Darwin and 12 degrees in canberra,  So despite your claim it’s winter in Darwin such is valid it is still a huge difference in climate,

Better than takeing the cowbiwys there like we have done recently. IMO....

    • There's no winter in Darwin - just dry season and wet season.

  • And thinking that the raiders will perform better in these conditions is stab in the dark with no real commen scence

    behind  your argument.

    • I would have thought so yes 12 months ago . However things happening have changed my opinion . I should note that I have lived in Canberra as well as subsequently in a 50 degree Celsius summer temp area . Also I have a new member to my family arrived from England last year who since arriving has lived and worked for 8 months in the Northern Territory without complaining about the heat . I hope you are correct though !!!

  • I hope we win i dont like to losing to Canberra

    • I hope so too Arnold   .  I hate losing to Canberra too !!!

  • And they have had a lot of trouble getting run down in the second half. Add a little heat and they probably will struggle to play the full 80

  • If Canberra play bad enough to lose to a reserve grade team, Then were some hope. If they play anywhere close to 60%-70% it’ll be enough to embarrass us yet again!

"Massive fan of Lorenzo, I'd like to see him play against men but he has handled the step up to flegg thus far. What's your thoughts on Fletcher? I know he's prob 3 years away but he is another elite halves prospect. "

BEM replied to Eli Stephens's discussion Panthers and Dogs next two weeks.
"Depends on who backs up from origin.
If everyone from Parra and Penref back up, Penref wins easily.
We have Buckley's chance against the Dogs."
