The Power of Parra

It comes as no surprise that a strong Parra is great for Sydney.

Fans of opposing teams can say what they like but Parra is what the NRL needs and what keeps League thriving in Sydney.

Souths have more members, but we are growing faster.  Each day the Tele and Now the Herald are running stories on us.  Even digging up old news and basically reprinting it just to get Parra a headline.

For years we have been told that Brisbane is the Broncos.  Of course they are a one team town.  But in Sydney, a 9 team town, Is Sydney Parra???

So those old ambitions of being the biggest sport organisation are attainable based upon media coverage alone

  • The media have known this for years. How often do you get Souths, Canterbury or St George articles in the papers? The greater Parramatta area is one of the fastest growing in the country. The NRL would be wise to make sure it stays as Rugby League heartland.

  • Well said boys, nrll is average without a firing PARRA, tigers saints and and Souths!!!
  • An industrial blue collar city up the river from Sydney, our culture and heritage is second to none. Parra is the soul of League.

    • More white collar than blue these days. The challenge is to stay relevant to the changing demographics.

  • As phil gould has mentioned, PARRAMATTA is truely the nrl " jewel in its crown "
  • Yeah lol I think we could double our membership if we signed a player of Indian origin, not sounding racist, I love our Indian fan base !  Nothing beats a Parramatta Butter chicken.

"He was provided all the legal advice before signing the release and understood the stipulations. Just because R360 didn't eventuate doesn't mean he can force his way out of it lol. Spoilt brat defence is not going to work for Lomax or the storm 🤣 "

Hell On Eels replied to Johnny Suede's discussion Lomax legal promise could create salary-cap headache for Storm
"LB, Eli, good stuff gents. We've acted in good-faith. By the book. With clean hands. Lomax appears not to. Still, equity is not unlikely to view an NRL-wide 3-year restraint until 31Oct 28' as overly-punitive and read it down.
We'd still win,…"
