The newspapers are at it again with our culture.
The question I ask did we have a culture problem last year when we ran 4th. The journos loved us last year.
The only additional players we have are Kane Evans and Jarryd Hayne. Did they bring this sudden change in bad culture.
We are running last. Bag us by all means by our style of play and refusal to take 2 points when they are on offer or our lame up and unders to the opposing fullback on the 5th tackle, but please don't suddenly decide its a cultural problem.
We did't have it last year and its the same personnel.

I liken the teams current form and resulting fall from a great height as something akin one of my children or grand kids having a disappointing season in their soccer competition. If they are trying hard and at a loss of what to when they keep losing then it requires understanding from anyone who is emotionally attached to them.
Just like real fans of a footy club. The players are hurting and they know the fans are too. If you had seen the disappointment on the boys faces after last weeks loss to the Dogs you'd understand. They may be professional sportsmen, but they are also human beings. If they just laughed it off we would have reason to question their effort, but they didn't. Grown men were in tears in the sheds. Peni came out after the game and said sorry 3 times with genuine distress and heart-brake to a fan.
Sure they are making dumb decisions with the ball, when they actually hang on to. And yeah the kicking against Cronulla lacked plenty of fore planning or thought. They do give away far too many penalties and miss some tackles, they also forgot to back and support the ball carrier last week at crucial times like Gowie standing 5 mtrs out under the posts with ball in hand and no runners. These fellas know that, so does the clubs coaching staff. But you know what Snake? Families don't bag the crap our of one another and put them down because that undermines everything that the tribe mentality is built on. Correction, criticism and questioning ones performance is credible and may lead better performance.
