The NRL Officials

How in-consisted are the NRL officials, now don't get me wrong I'm not ever really one to blame the refs when we lose a game or whatever unless it is a really bad call BUT last night it really really shit me that the NRL officials couldn't see that Taka was onside....

I could live with the Jenko no try it being a 50/50 call and that was one that went against us but serious Brad Takarangi was onside. The NRL has spend 2mil on a "refs box" and they cant even draw a line across the screen but yet soccer can or better still call or a forward pass.

If you guys watch this here you will see Semi runs behind the back of Norman which is an "obstruction" but how come when Brett Stewart did the same thing and grubbed the ball for the Lussick no try Parra didn't get a penalty? If you watch the Link you will see the footage. Go back a few weeks ago if you guys can remember Shaun Johnson did the same thing as Stewart but about 10m away from the defensive line no one even near him he set up Lolohea for a try and was given a no try so how come Brett Stewart got away with it and it wasn't a Parra penalty?

The one other thing that really annoys me is when the ref says "play on, play on, 6 to go" Then a team scores after he's clearly said play on he goes up stairs.... Mate you've just called play on for god sake why are you not just calling a try or no try it's simple.

  • That was not obstruction and for the first time in my life Greg Laxitander agreed with us that it was a try . The defender turned inside therefore was not impeded nor did it place Semi behind Norman . Try !

"I did modern day as 1998 onwards as I didn't see them play, as some here haven't. Where I believe majority of people here have seen all the modern day players play.
Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
