Sixties, I agree in total with everything you have said. - It is obvious that Parra/Hayne is click bait; simply for the fact we are probably the most supported club in the league. - News-corpse will do anything to get their sales. - Parra sells. So we need to be better, much, much better at managing our shit. - FFS, taking minutes on a dictaphone about how they were going to get around the cap,3rd party deals etc. is like feeding bread to the pigeons of the Sydney media. - A new broom can't come soon enough. - I'll be happy when they're all gone & professionals are in charge provided we keep BA long, long term (ala Bennett at Brisbane). I would also like Wilson to advise us all where she got her info re Foran. - The simple fact that she reported it speaks volumes of her character & class
Beyond disappointing.
Never mind what we have endured as a club the past few months, this whole new wave of leaks has obviously been drummed up to hasten the the NRLs preferred outcome.
I think it's deliberate, else how else do ppl like Hooper get the recent info published? It worked earlier on us and it's working now.
If we don't get the chance to question for eg manager involvement, that benefits a whole pile of ppl, clubs. It would definitely be a preferred outcome for NRL that managers are not questioned in transparent manner or called into give evidence of their direct involvement with officials of clubs in acquiring and negotiating TPAs for their clients.
Heck all roads may even lead straight to all NRL CEOs and ex's also as we know from our own minutes...could get very ugly for some.
The question really has to be asked, what if anything will be the catalyst that puts the vultures back in their cages? Because Parramatta can't move on in this kind of environment with this kind of toxicity from all angles.
How do we turn the tide? How do we stop trying to put out fires and actually start the positive steps so we're reported on as a club with hope, with a future? Because the current environment is horrible and it appears some "journalists" are happy to scrape the scum right from the bottom of the barrel.
Me too, I'm livid and this is far more that just messing with the Eels. This has crossed the line and is just putrid. It's never going to end!
