With us sitting 2 points in the top 4, with the Roosters and Manly sitting on our ass and playing both those teams in the next 3 weeks, there is a possibility of dropping out of the top 4 come finals, or we could prevail and pick up wins against the top teams or hell even win 5 out of 6 or all 6.Either way the two sides that divide this fan base, the save BA and sack BA fans, one or the other are going to have an arrow in their quiver to argue further on there views. It all starts tomorrow night versing an understrength Sydney City, the result we lead to either losing and this site blows up, or a win with some moderate blowing up of an underperforming player or silence and some encouragment and 3,2,1 blogs.

I am not saying either of this is bad as life is boring if we all agree on everything, though this is the most testing end of season stretch since Arthur got the job in 2014, it will be very interesting to watch and see how the pressure is handled and if we have matured into a team that the NRL fear and a team on their way up further, or a team like the last three years or a team that regresses. Three different outcomes that are all very plausible, and added to that is the fact that this next 6 weeks mentally would be taxing on the players how do they back it up in the semis, do we pick up 3/4 good wins and rest some players in last 2 rounds or are we in a position where we need to field full strength team to beat Melbourne and Penrith to get a spot in the 4.

All i can say is i'm more excited for this last six weeks than i have been all year, due to wondering how we will come out of it, no finish like last year where we looked at the last 4 weeks and thought we should win all of them and if we didnt or we struggled it was more disappointing than losing to a top team, no this year it's versing 5 of the top 6, and is a perfect opportunity for Arthur to show us what he's got to offer as a top 4 quality coach, and the players have as a contending roster.Whether you hate Arthur and want him gone, or love him and want him to extend to a lifetime deal there is no denying this next 6 weeks will the most fascinating aspect of this current era in Parramatta football and look forward to seeing what the outcome might be

Let's hope for a win and hope Arthur can jusitfy the team selections that majority of us have not liked, prove us wrong BA let's see what you got. Tomorrow is where it all begins.

  • JA is not a half backs bootlace. He has a good kicking game and defence is OK  Would prefer to see him in the Centres if the coach persists in playing him. Jordan Rankin at No. 6 is a much better option with DB at 7 if Moses is still out.

    • Who.

    • 👏👏👏👏

      Very good Wiz.

  • JA should not be in the team at all!

His father is giving him chances because there are no reserve grade games going on, and instead of trying to get a decent half on loan, we are gonna stick with him.. What if moses comes back and gets injured again. I'm so effing pissed off at seeing JA in the team, he is not ready! Needs few more years. Sign a frikin decent half back-up!

  • Win the bulk of our games and the fanbase will be fine, no change. Lose the bulk of those games and I think the fanbase will be almost unanimous in their disapproval. Losses may actually unite us all.

    • Or a prelimanry final may unite us

    • I think that's pretty spot on. Whether you're a glass half full or glass half empty person, we're all after the same result (with varying levels of belief as to whether it'll eventuate).

We all expect that we should have the team to finish Top 4 if injuries don't come into play.
We all expect that we should be able to beat some of the Top 6 rivals coming our way.
We all expect that a win against the Cowboys is a gimme.
We all expect that we will not accept a straight sets exit come finals time.

I think everyone agrees on the parameters for the most part. It's in the hands of the players and the coaching staff as to whether they underachieve, hit the mark or overachieve. And as a fanbase I think we'll all be fairly united as to what has to happen in each of those scenarios.

If we underachieve - fundamental changes have to be made.
If we hit the mark (ie Top 4 but don't make the GF) - there will be debate, but it's improvement so likely won't be any big change.
If we overachieve (GF or win the lot) - sign 'em all up for life.

      • Well would you put a prelim? as i believe a prelim marks as an improvement, but straight sets can be top 4 but dont make a GF. Though a prelim i think could shut up a few Arthur haters, not all but some so i think that should be the mark, but not sure.

  • Just talking about this with a mate , molight be a blessing for thr gard run home , if parra can jag all 6 wins they would be hard to handle come semis . But gut feeling is may 2-3 wins at best

    Cowboys - should beat them

& the other win I think will come from either manly or Penrith

I think a shorter season and stand alone rep period is the best option and over due though."
