The Next Immortal

I'm not sure when the next immortal gets inducted, but I would love to see one of the 1980's parra players given the honour.

I would class many of that era's players ahead of Andrew Johns.

My pick for next immortal would be Brett Kenny.

Scoring two tries in three consecutive grand finals fits the classification of immortal.

  • They've already gone to joey. The 80s has been overlooked. Next will be lockeyer.

But realistically immortal was just a concept to sell magazines and wine.

The NRL shoul dhave a proper hall of fame, ala most american professional sports, i.e. NBA, NFL, MLB

    • I agree. A hall of fame allows players to be judged against their peers, particularly position wise.
  • Agree Capt K Foz, Pete Sterling for mine. Sterlo started the trend of the modern day half back as we know it.

  • Michael Ericson, Kerry Hemsley or Steve Edmed.
  • Yes I really think they skipped too far ahead with Andrew Johns
