The Mole- Titans target Luke Burt

New Titans coach Garth Brennan is set to launch a daring raid on both Penrith and Parramatta as he builds his staff for next season.

Moley has heard that Brennan has targeted Eels NYC coach and former wing star Luke Burt as his assistant coach.

And Brennan is also chasing Penrith high-performance manager Matt Cameron and the club’s refereeing advisor, former Roosters fullback Luke Phillips.

Cameron is one of the most respected co-ordinators in the game, having worked at both the Eels and Tigers before joining the Panthers.

Significantly, both Cameron and Burt are close to controversial fullback Jarryd Hayne, who is currently weighing up whether to remain at the Titans or move back to his home town of Sydney.

Phillips was signed by Panthers boss Phil Gould and, as a former referee, has been giving the players and coaching staff valuable insights into the workings of the referees over the past two seasons.

  • Burt has young kids he would not move them I doubt from their schools and successful teams ....
  • Surely BA would promote him soon to assistant coach.
    • BA did a long apprenticeship himself, Burtys proven very little in his short time coaching, Brad probably enjoys his crew the way it is.

Let Burt go to the titans and prove something, no way would i be paying him the tits asking price of 300k.

  • I hope Burt stay I think he will be our next coach after BA

    • You want to perpetuate a losing culture Paul?

    • BA is only 43, he has a long time to go as a coach
  • Personally prefer if they let him go , we have not had top of the line successful teams since the 80s so not sure why we would give to rats if a ex player from the unsuccessful period wants to move on .

When is the last time we won a lower grade title ? Bert was able to win titles in lower grades and guess what he was from our successful era .
    • And that shows why you have no fekkin clue
    • You are a fool, erase this!!
  • They can have him, hasn't played well in years..
