The Media, Kent, they hate us so bad, why?

Watching NRL360 last night Paul Kent kept bringing up how terrible we are for not resigning Gutherson, every opportunity he could all he was doing was criticising Parramatta. It was so biased the other anchors were getting uncomfortable. He just desperately wants to do whatever he can to disrupt our playing group.Our board and management have every right to be patient and careful with who we resign, Last year we finished dead last. Sure, we should not wait too long, but Parramatta are playing a smarter game in recent times (we have to) and all the media can do is criticise us for being astute go figure??Which got me thinking, why do you think the media and people like Paul Kent have such a clear agenda against our club? Are the jealous of our potential? Is there a deeper reason something behind the scenes? Let me know your thoughts would love to hear

Kenty has nothing against the Eels in fact he’s a closet Eels supporter. Paul is just doing his job and that is stirring controversy and commenting on how he see the play whilst making sure he’s copping a few favours from the agents.

Its alll business.

I think the Eels management know how it’s all playing out.

  I don't think the club, coach, or player - the 3 important parties in all of this - are too concerned about what is speculated in the media. This is an arse pimple compared to what was being thrown around last year. We're popular so we get alot of media.
  
  I'm 100% confident this will all work itself out in good time. Kent hasn't ever said (as far as I know) that Gutho will be leaving Parra - All I've heard from most media types is that at the end of the day, when the dust settles, he will be staying at Parra.
  
  I don't really like Kent - but I have to admit that his mail appears to be spot on alot of the time. I get the feeling he has built quite a large list of sorces over the years.

        I think the managers are pushing hard because Parra came out and said they weren't making a decision on BA until the middle of the year. Managers want it wrapped up before then and the club is pretty much saying, we're happy to negotiate but you're not forcing us into overpaying, overcommitting or re-signing BA before we're ready.

Gutherson should have controlled what his manager was saying to the media. This situation would have never progressed to what is has.

Think about it. Gutherson is the employer and our captain

    IS IT A GOOD LOOK TO BE MENTIONED AS LOWBALLING PLAYERS. ITS VERY DISRUPTIVE, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S THE CAPTAIN OF A CLUB.

The reality is the media pundits are paid to express an opinion, the more controversial the better, anything to illicit a passionate response.
