The Manu Ma'u Try

Manu Ma'u scored a terrific try tonight. A typical 2nd rowers try.I've been saying all season long, that this is exactly how we should be using Ma'u, Tepai and Pauli. All three of them are human wrecking balls and run with so much power. If you put them one-on-one with any half/centre, they will score 9 times out of 10. All you need is a half that can throw a late short ball and it becomes one of the most effective plays in the game.Jonathan Thurston and Gavin Cooper have the best half/backrow combination in the game. Others that come to mind are Pearce/Cordner and Cronk/Proctor.We have struggled to find ways to utilise the strength and power of our backrowers. Manu Ma'u showed us exactly how we should be using them. As I said.. Tep and Pauli would be ideal in that situation too.

    Agreed. I think it was nice pay back to beat Morgan for the try too. It was M'au that missed Morgan for his try.

      Yeah bad defensive lapse there from Manu, he is normally rock solid in defence. He certainly more then made up for it though!
