The Loss Parra Needed?

I know all of you are very disappointed in the loss and some will say it is the way we lost hurts the most and I agree, how ever it seems the players will have learned a valuable lesson after this game.

BA will be very disappointed with tonight's performance and rightly so but they went into this game completely underestimating the under strengthed Titans side and went away from what worked for them in previous games. The 5th tackle options were, well pathetic, we looked disinterested in the game, we gave away lots of silly penalties, made more errors then our previous 2 combined, organization was next to none and someone like Robson with his experience should have stood up but he was 'missing' on a number of occasions leaving Gutho exposed and that showed his lack of experience within his role.

Norman plays an integral part in the side and tonight showed we cant win without him in the side which leaves us wide open if he was to sustain a major injury. These blokes have been around long enough to know what is expected of them and when the circumstances changed, NO ONE stepped up to try and give an edge. Points came easy in the first 15 mins but when the Titans fought back the fellas looked surprised backed away which inevitably was they're downfall in the end.

Next week we play the Sharks and hopefully Norman is back and I really hope they run out to make amends after tonight's dreadful performance and produce what we all know they are capable of.

**Does anyone know the full extent of KP's injury and will this be what King needs to show he has got what it takes and put the pressure on?

  • It's a loss due to attitude which can be fixed. We just bought our own tickets and refused to play the way that got us 2 wins
  • Yeah it's not like we won 13 on the trot before the semis. It's round freaking 3 FFS.
That performance was the worst the sides dished up since the Kearney years.
  • But we just can't keep having performances of seasons gone by. I can cop a loss, but not like that. These types of danger games will continue to be a real worry until we prove that we will turn up each week with the right attitude. That's what BA has been trying to change since 2014 and it's evidently still not there. You don't see Melbourne, NQL play like that. Or if they do, it's a once a year thing. Giving away 2 pts in games like tonights just has to end. Or we'll regret it come finals if we miss out again.
  • We played like rubbish and were beaten accordingly. End of story and hopefully the kick up the arse we needed. We'll come out firing against the Sharks next week. BA won't make wholesale changes after one loss. Hopefully Norman will be 100% and barring him the only other changes will be for injuries (Kaysa) and suspension (Tep). Yes I'm disappointed with the effort tonight but it's round 3 FFS and we are 2 and 1 from 3 away games.

    • These types of games really set the platform for the year, id hate to miss the finals by not getting the points when they are on offer like they were tonight

  • It was always going to be a tough game having such a short turnaround & missing Norman I'm not at all suprised by the loss it was actually a really warm night too whether that gives the Titans any advantage I don't know
  • they're the same choices that got us to the top of the table last week?

i've already said i was concerned about false expectations from those wins but how does 1 loss justify wrong player choices?

  • in your opinion with nothing to validate except 1 loss

  • Agree
  • We were poor with our handling. However when the Titans ever lost the ball it was declared a strip. However when we lost the ball it was declared lost but on at least two occasions I saw a Titans arm rip the ball in more than two in a tackle. Am I the only one to  notice this. This contributed for not letting us get back into the game..
