The loop hole in Haynes negotiations.

So if rumours are correct Parra offered Hayne 500k but he told the club he wants 700k.If other clubs such as the Dragons & Bulldogs only value Hayne at 500k also, surely he stays loyal and takes the 500k we’ve offered him.. maybe even back end it another 200k for 2020 in the favour of the club if he performs. This scenario just came to my head recently.

  • Only I f what you are saying is correct. But who really knows unless your working in hr
  • Nobody Knows, and really, nobody cares!! Let's start another Hayne blog shall we? Or do we cap it off at #324?
  • Hayne and loyal doesnt really go together. He went to the tits for money only came back to Sydney for his child fair enough but he couldn’t careless about the club you’d think he’d take the 500k and give back to us fans. The amount of Hayne blogs and media post about him over night should be enough to back end his deal for 5 years should give ba enough time to turn us around and back again
  • Just to steal Mack’s thunder I’m going to use his line . “ I think you need to google the definition of Loophole “

    • Mate, I reckon you might be a bit confused - I think you're thinking of a LOOPHOLE. This situation is different in that it is a LOOP HOLE.

  • Look, the reality is that Jarryd believes he is worth 700k, not 500k. I've never met the man so I'm only guessing, but I sense that he wants to make sure that the club never takes him for granted, which is something I can appreciate.

Don't forget that he will have learnt from his time in the NFL that your salary is a measure of the respect that the club has for you, getting what you feel you are worth is the team recognising your value.

I don't necessarily agree with that type of thinking, but I understand it.

That would have to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard . Not saying it’s untrue because I have zero idea if that’s their way of thinking or not , just think it’s totally ridiculous. On that criteria Hindmarsh should’ve been on 10 million a year and Tim Mannah should be paid more than Junior Paulo .

Why would Hayne think he should be respected anymore than the guys who are standing beside him ?  Talent isn’t a measure of respect . Some of the games most talented players are total fuckwits . I know you’re saying you don’t necessarily agree with that line of thought , but isn’t that line of thought a pretty shitty approach to being part of a team ?  You’re virtually saying the more he gets paid , the higher he places himself above his team mates .

      • Stop it Wiz your making to much sense

      • When I say respect, I’m referring to respect for his talent and what he brings to his team, not for Jarryd the person.
