The long term future

1st off i think its a good move that the plane has moved on. Unless your the broncs who are allowed to do what the want or you have a JT its bloody hard to sustain a solid team by giving such big coin imo. What you fellas reckon?2nd: Regarding out back line for the 4yrs + . Id' like 1.French 3. Semi 4. Taka 6.Norman . Reasoning for Semi to the centres is that with his skill set and ability to break a tack or draw n pass means he needs to get his hands on the ball more often and that move would allow that. It would be an easy transition for him. With Jennings id like to keep him and perhaps a move to the wing may work but i have my doubts. His contract ending next year so maybe let him go.I dont trust Gutherson defence and slight frame on the wing so I'd move him on or have him as back up. A no fuss big n tall winger such Anthony Don mould is someone id look out for. Worst case we keep gutho though. Then the posi left by Foran. I think we need to get a half not just by name but someone that most importantly will fit with norman. Every time we've chased a half just on name we got burned. That leaves prop n hooker. We need one or two big boppers to fill the loss of junior. Again don't need to splash big money on big name just up coming blokes that'll do the job so we can still retain out own for the for seeable future.I think with regards to all recruitment BA will be thinking defence first which is awesome.Whats your plan?

  • Melbourne have managed to keep a solid team despite having 3 players who would all be on a million plus or close to it
    • Good point but having slater, Cronk n smith together is once in generation.
    • Yeah I wonder how they managed that

  • Gutherson has been our best player all year. An excellent defender too. You'd be the first person I've heard say they want to move him on.
    • Na I think one other person said it. Errrr. I think your the first to say he's an excellent defender on the planet but your entitled to your opinion.
    • agree with Half a chance. Gutherson will definitely be in our future plans, being at fullback next season or potentially as Jennings centre replacement when his contract comes up.

    • Fair enough. I like Gutho. Don't like when he gets dragged back to in goal. He definitely improved his D as season gone on.. Also came of major injury last year so should be even better next year. Just needs to eat more.
    • Nah, going by how this post is going, I think you're the only one that's saying it.
  • Na. Would really wanna swap. Just want semi closer to the action. Either way semi anywhere in the team if he wants to stay is good enough.
  • Woundn't really wanna swap em..
