"Commitment doesnt just mean competing on the field. Lomax had personal ambitions on and off the field. Theres no secret amongst the league he marches to the beat of his own drum.

O'Brien, his coaching team, Gardiner and Canavan have got a lot of work to do next year and in the pre-season.
Andrew Johns wasn't too far calling his Knights roadkill. I feel for the club, but at least they can't blame the players performance on Nathan Brown's presence in the club, this time.
They'll bounce back eventually. We know how it feels.
Considering the strength of their roster one of the worst displays I have ever seem. Must be some serious division at the club to be this poor.
Bad DNA!! Missing chromosones.
The cattle in that team is entitled to beat most teams. They have good engine room and a top flight half and fullback. They just clocked off . They have far more upside than the titans moving forward to 2020.
Said at start of year , other than roosters , storm . Souths and sharks - the rest of the 4-8 is a lottery . Didn’t quite nail it but boy I am worried about the sharks .
PT, I hope we get to play Cronulla again this season as it will mean we are in the grand final.
Sadly we all know that feeling way back in the past :)
im more stunned that a team with Penrith’s roster and team balance didn’t do better this year.
It goes to show you how important knuckling down in the pre season without distractions and being relatively healthy provides the building blocks to have a competitive season.
Dragons and Penrith with strong rosters had nightmare off seasons , the Broncos had a heap of drama around Seibold. The only team to perhaps do better then expected with their season were Manly with the Walker drama .Kudos Dessie,
Mannah was looking for an opportunity next season. He would be ideal to bring that tough winning culture to the Knights
I chuckle that people are surprised at what happened to the Knights this year. Because it seems not many can learn from history.
The Knights current situation mirrors what the Eels have been through for almost a decade.
Here we have a single point of authority, Phillip Gardner who is CEO of West Leagues AND the Newcastle Knights Football Club. A man so very clearly out of his depth as a Rugby League Administrator who is deciding on player recruitment, head coach appointments, assistant coach appointments, trying to navigate the NRL media and believing he can do it all.
The structure of a Football Club is just as important as who the Coach is and who the players are. It’s so obvious. The clubs up the top of the comp are well run, the ones down the bottom are poorly run. It’s no coincidence yet it happens consistently. The Knights season was doomed from the start and the next Coach will meet the same fate. The CEO will make sure of that.
That’s why I am so adamant about our reforms passing. Never again will we have to endure another ‘passionate’ powerbroker with no idea but an ego that refuses to relinquish control. We’re so close to being labelled one of the game’s ‘best run clubs’. Vote Yes dammit!!!
Preach it Mutts.
