the hurt continues, but there is hope

First of all, I have been a Parramatta fan since I was 4, 35 years ago...... I still am waiting for that next Title....every year it slips away the hurt from not winning for so long gets worse.....

It is why the defeat to Newcastle was so devastating.... from what I saw the boys did not put in during the 2nd half....I don't know whether it was due to injuries or whether the pressure got to them.....but it was horrendous to watch.....Unfortunately it showed that we are still a year or 2 away from a Premiership.....we are not quite there.....but I am hoping I am wrong and that the boys show a great performance against Canberra this next weekend. It has been overall a much improved season and I feel that we are not far away....Finish hard Parra

  • I'm not sure it's that bad Martin. Parra made all their success in a short period. I too have been supporting Parra for the past 35 years and the 4 premierships is no different if I'd been a Manly fan. Manly won 87, 96, 08 and 11. That's 4, but just over a longer period. Panthers 2 in that time (35 years) and Knights. Sharks and Bunnies 0 and so on. Sure we want another premiership since the glory days, but unless you're a young Parra fan you have experienced success.
    • During my time I've seen Parra '09 and 2 spoons ...

  • It will come we r young
  • 40 years here m8 3 rd generation.
Was 7yrs in 81, remember vividly the euphoria etc etc.
    Suffered as all have since.
We r now on that upward trend that by the footy gods we shall endure and reach the top again !
  • YAY - a "Who Has Supported The Eels For The Longest Time" blog.

tele 1 and Michael Picklum could give you guys a real run for your money - I can beat both of them and I saw some bloke post a while back that he has been supporting the Eels since 1948.

Just kidding Martin and slip - I am over being so intense and upset over Saturday's game I think I will go back into Cynical Dementia mode.

I will be interested on how BA handles the team in the off season and what changes to our mindset he can achieve.

In all honesty I don't even know if I am interested in the Raider's game - I will watch it though coz ParraTragics do that.

    • Well I've been a fan since I was darting around my fathers ball sacks Sir Col. Beat that.
  • Ya father is only 21 Frank - and it is up to your father "to beat that". lol

    Not my style - I'm a lesbian.

If Kelma is dropped i will find it mind boggling
He needs to fix his defence so let's see what happens…"
