I hoped Mitch would stand up tonight when it counted, I hoped he would play himself into an origin spot, I hoped he would take the game by the scruff of the neck when it was needed and get us home.
He played well, directed well, kicked in generral play well, but he didnt take that next step to greatness.
Maybe he learns from this, maybe this is as good as it gets.
Maybe his calf is worse then thought.
He didn't need to go for the hero 40m field goal that gifted them the 7 tackle set that won them the game. His goal kicking sucks when it matters. He will hammer home 8 from 8 when it doesn't count but kicks at 50% when it does. He is dumb. Just like his coach. Moses played himself out of an Origin jersey tonight by playing dumb. He will never live down the tag of not being able to deliver when it counts.
I think Lane is use to repeating, if the greatest teacher is failure, I suspect Lane dosnt listen to his teacher.
