Hi guys,
One thing I've wanted to do for a long time is to create a knowledge base surrounding the history of the clubs and all its players and so forth.
I'm thinking now might be a good time to do it, so I'm putting the call out for some contributors and any ideas.
This is my wishlist:
+ A page for each player, with stats, photos from the site, blogs from the site, etc
+ A page for each year and what the club did in that year, etc (also if possible links to game pages see below)
+ A history of the club
+ Going forward maybe a page for each game with links to match reviews, etc both on and off the site
Jobs you might want to volunteer for:
+ Writing content - if you want to write some player profiles, historical information, etc, etc
+ Tagging videos and photos on the site - this would involve going back through our picture and video archive and tagging things with players names
+ Designing a HTML template for each page
+ Scripts for displaying video, pictures, blogs from RSS feeds. Maybe you know of a great script we can embed into these pages to pull content from the site into each page
+ Help manage the process
Rather than just doing this myself I now think given the strength of this community, it would be great to do as a collaborative effort. So if there is anyway you feel you can contribute, throw some ideas forward. We've got some wonderful resources to pull on here, like Slip's amazing photo collection and our archive of match reviews and so forth so I think we could produce the definitive Parramatta Eels resource.

At least some of it.
Player profiles and whatnot?
Not particularly savvy with the whole production of a formulating a website as such, but I'm more than happy to write up any content that's needed for it.
Happy to help in some way Phil.
I have ok IT skills so would be able to assist you somehow as I have done similar activities at work.
Let me know how I can help.
Cheers.
With all due respect Phil - - poach slip's stuff from his site - that is one awesome effort
Would it be possible to intergrate (link?) it into this project?
2nd option - would slip be prepared to allow others to continue working with him on his site and have it become the Parrapedia you envisage?
If you two come to an agreement then you are off to a flying start.
I'm now adding players from other years (outside 1976-1986) on www.eels1976-1986.com
If people want to provide pictures of players I can continue with the player profile and we can use the website I have created.
