The good - the bad, & the ugly

Good.  The whole team, who played as one, great defence & attack.  Best eels performance I have seen in years/

Bad  Allowing that terrible walk over try just before full time especially from Hoppa.

Ugly.  The terrible shorts & Guernsey.  No longer the eels, but canaries.  I near wanted to vomit after seeing them doing the warm up & hoped upon hope that it was a worm up stripe.

It would have to be the worst & ugliest I have have ever seen, & that is saying something, I hope they are burnt & not have to be inflicted on our eyes again.

Other than that, I was impressed with Gutherson, handled pressure & high balls well. Huge leaps on the field & in performance since round 1.  Likewise Terepo, big improvement over the last time I saw him play.

Jnr did some good things, but dropped ball at a crucial point in 2nd half that could have proved disasterous. Timmy ran & tackled well, great putting Kasiano out of the match, shows who was the toughest of the two.

As for the other mob, it was probably the best I have seen Tony Williams play in a long while.

  • worst thing about the try

Parramatta have NEVER kept the Dogs to 0 in their history

    • Interestingly, the 9 commentary was talking about the very fact of the eels never keeping the dogs scoreless in the history of their games. Within 2 minutes Hoppa was in, through the biggest defence hole seen on the night.

  • The jersey is awesome, no idea what you are on about!
    • Each to their own I guess.  Interestingly the strip in your tag photo is actually heaps better than the ones tonight.

    • I am a fan of it as well. Nice take on a Retro '86. The yellow shorts aren't the most complimentary thing though. White or blue would have been nicer for the contrast.

    • I liked the shorts with that jersey. Should have stuck with blue socks though. .

    • Tad.  For me it was a top game, pretty well the best I have seen in many a long day.  All credit to the dogs in their role as well, but gee they like to sail close to the line still, with their tackle methods, methinks Des has used a lot of the old storm video's as teaching manuals for the players.

The dogs played hard, & while some were a bit uncompossed this year is going to be a tough one for all teams though.  I also thought Jackson played well for them. Hoppa certainly is a better player this year, or at least providing his coach with some value, not like we had from him.

Other aspects I like with our mob, is that Jennings seemed to look for support tonight & was well positioned for that freak try off Semi.

I mentioned Jnr, & even though he gave some nice passes & made good ground (would still prefer to have him with us than against us) the way Edwards played in place of Ma'u we did not lose much with Ma'u being out, so augers well for me when Jnr heads down south next year, as we will have good cattle in the forwards we already have without having to really chase too many or any really.

  • Speaking of ugly. Where is TD?
    • Slip, I found TD hiding over at the kennel. I copied the following quote from him which I am SURE, will come in handy in the years to come

1st quote is from our mate Top Dog!!!!!!!!! From the kennel tonight LOL

Des is shit our attack is shit Garvey is shit Reynolds is shit
