The good the bad the ugly

The Good, The Bad, The UglyThe Good:Robinson- he looked good at the back with an assist and he ran for over 100 meters. With a few mistakes he did well to pick it back up again. His defence was good.Hoppa- Another who did his job well, finished with a try assist and a try. Defence was excellent on Koroibete, prevented break aways with one on ones. He also defended on the wing for Morgs.Morgan- Borderline, hard not to like him though gives it his all. Got a try but I think anyone could have scored it.Norman- Another who wasn't amazing but he created some exciting stuff. He is ready to break a game open. Much better in defenceWicks- Our best and he deserves to partner Peats with the captaincy instead of Mannah. Huge effort with effective tackles and runs all gamePeats- Should be captain, should be the only hooker in our 17. Tackling machine. Effective scoots making meters drawing defenders and penaltiesMa'u- Along with Peats and Wicks, one of our best. Never gave up. Always a threat every time he gets the ball.Watmough- A couple of defensive misses but didn't do the side ways pass at the ground move he has perfected. Starting to come into form, someone who will step up in rough times.Honourable mention: Gower- got the standard storm treatment, chicken leg. really missed him out there. The Bad:Semi- Underdone did ok but I think he wasn't ready to come back yet. Fully fit would have got at least a double. An attacking weapon but not a defensive one.Mannah- Time to drop Mannah to the bench. He went missing yesterday! Half as good as Wicks.De'gois- Can't blame or fault him but shouldn't be there.Fa'aso- This fella is as tough as they come but he really is becoming a liability. The Ugly:Takairangi- Quality opposition exposed this bench Utility/ Back Rower hiding in the centres. Embarrassing defence and not the guy you want Semi outside while he is still learning how to defend.Sandow- Bombed two maybe even three scoring opportunities. Still putting shoulder charges on like a true idiot. Probably our worst. Probably the worst in the whole competition this week.Paulo- Obviously hates Slater, about the only thing he did all game though. Soft tackles, soft runs. Momentum stopping runs with weak floating balls to whoever catches it.Terepo- He must of made five runs all game, dropped the ball at least twice. The second tier salary cap rule for those who don't know, works as follows: every team has a certain amount of money to pay to player outside of the top 25, with our run of injuries and suspensions we have used to much of ours a third of the way into the season. This could be a factor in the selection of the side.Transferring out somebody in that top 25 results in results in a space being open for a player to be brought into. Said player then no longer effects the second tier cap.Hopefully BA can weave some magic before June 30.

    JR Paulo back next week
  • Norman is going to benefit the most from the arrival of Foran next year. He has just as much X factor as sandow without his inconsistency and defensive liabilities.
    • Without the defensive Liability? Norman is the worst defender we have. Other teams line up a second rower on him for a certain try every game. At least sandow slows them down Norman just hops on for a piggy back ride
  • Exactly Wiz. Our halves really piss me off.

The unparalleled dumbness in our side seems to start with those two and permeates throughout. Seffa is of course another great source of it.

"Next year, next year, blah blah blah..." :(

  • x2...

  • Normans garbage wiz, he offers nothing, and his form this year has been hugely over rated, people calling for him to be signed long term LOL, hilarious stuff.

And to Coryns point, to win in Melbourne, you need to be perfect - and you need to be given a fair chance.

"Great points as usual NOS. When you lose by 48 points that is on you. But also, the issues from the refs made us fatigue and weakened us. The Iongi HIA weakened us as it forced Ryles to put Joash on when in hindsight he didn't really need to, but we…"
