"The Good life" What makes us happy

This is a great interview with a Psychiatrist based on evidence taken over 84 years---Is it prestige? power? influence? money? or simple qualitative relationships which money can't buy?

Maybe worth putting this content up to players or anyone else who is in their life game where money dominates their life goals.

  • Life is a cycle of boredom, satisfaction, pain, suffering and disappointment.

    • Sorry to hear that Brad. How do you change that?

      • You can't.

        • Start with baby steps mate before you know it you my be running.

          • Baby steps to what?

            • Brad it depends on how badly this is affecting you and whether you are motivated enough to talk to someone ---maybe starting with a phone call to someone who has some experience around these issues, talking to your Doctor etc. My experience is that only a small percentage of people take this step---mostly men.. Seriously the fact that you are talking about it is a good step the next step may be a bit more challenging. Things like these don,t disappear with time or get much better by doing nothing.

  • Good one Tad, for me it's the simple things that keep me happy. Keeping active / some time out to listen to my varied tunes; my wife and kids but then again it's also so frustrating but I try to keep it all simple. Grass isn't always greener and never take your health for granted.
I also need my morning coffee from the local too...

    • Yes Mitchy grass can look greener on the other side but once you get there as Peggy Lee says " Is that all it is" lol

There has to be more to life which simple things can offer
