The Fog

I didn't get to watch the earlier games, but noted a few comments on this and other sites.

Is Fog nothing more than another Wenty Player or the real deal?

  • Needs a lot of work before stepping foot in first grade that's for sure
  • Hahaha bloody hilarious
    • Yes, hilarious. So why were so many so called main players here, calling him out as lour 7 next year?  Anyone?

    • Who were the main players saying he was our 7?
    • Wtf was it really over 30 I watched the first half and didn't see him with first contact
    • Electric eel is 100% correct a fair few people talked him up not sure who but defiantly remember seing heaps of comments about him
    • Yeah on here I thought you were actually thinking main players of the team haha. There delusional and need to get off their unicorns and come back to reality is all I can say.
    • I watched the Interstate Cup game and the Cutters quite clearly targeted Cullen's (the 5/8) side of the field, not Fogarty's. Fogarty's positional play in defense was OK. He did get steamrolled on his own line, but that was mostly crappy Bears defense letting a half defend at marker on the line. Can we infer then that the Cutters looked at footage and did not identify Fogarty as especially weak in defense, given that they directed all their attack to the other side? The big issue for Fogarty might be that he stuck religiously to his right side of the field in attack. Even when the Bears attacked from the extreme left edge, Fogarty was well away from first receiver. Many NRL halves, as play enters the opposition 40, pop up wherever first received is needed. Certainly Fogarty did not display that kind of playmaking mobility, though the Bears' evidrntly too-rigid attacking structure has to shoulder some blame there. But is The Fog the half we need if he can't adapt in a game and go hunting for the ball and organize his team? Can you imagine the likes of JT or Cronk staying one side while their team gets crunched?
  • What 'main players;'?

    • Go back through the numerous blogs about Fog Snake. There are plenty effectively stating that he is a walk up.  Never going to happen. Massive step up from QLD cup to NRL.

"Da Silva is a potentially elite dummy half. He would already be on very good money, probably $600k+ and will eventually be taking the majority of minutes at dummy half. Perhaps as early as 2026. Smith might start every game but could end up only…"
