  I liked it. Watched it again a few days ago - but I must admit, I romanticise about the good old days of footy at Henson Park and the local watering holes in Sydney's inner west :-)

  I thought it was pretty good also. The memories of the game's colourful past! What ever happened to "He can't run without his head"... ;-)

  I thought it was quite watchable. Its something completely different obviously because its content revolves around rugby league, not like most american sports movies about NFL or Hockey etc.
  
  The acting i thought was very good, Matty Johns included. The only weird thing was you start to forget that it is Matty because of the role he was playing, but with Mattys distinct voice you could never truly lose yourself in the character.
  
  Very good for an Aussie movie, as there aren't that many decent ones at all.

  I thought it was great, shows what footy used to be about. Players played for their team, their mates and for the love of the game. I'm not saying that the footy was better, because unlike some I think the footy is better now, but there is something special about the ideology of that era. Maybe it’s because I played the game when I was younger because of these ideals.

    I played in that era too. Im sure u would agree that it was a whole different ball game back then! I just thought they could've done alot more with the concept. I s'pose shite movie was a bit harsh but it doesn't belong in my collection..... as yet! :)

      Small budget for sure and and agreed, didn't provide the emotional roller coaster ride of a Hollywood blockbuster. Still think it was OK though.

  I loved it and thought Matt Nable was awesome in his role as Grub Henderson.
