Yes guys , If you do the math we basically only need 9 more wins and I seriously believe we can do it .
After a decent start to the season the Eels are sitting very nicely in 3rd spot subject to other results.
So yes like all Eels die hard fans im starting the maths now. I believe we will make the top 8 this season easily. 5 or 6 wins will get us into that top 8 spot , from there its 3 wins needed. Now before you argue your views , This team has been to me the most consistant side in the comp , we have been competitive almost every week . Dogs had games handed to them , storm the same , While we eels were very unlucky not to have another 4 points at this stage of the season . Now past history shows we struggle against the lower sides but this year it feels different . A change has swept through this club and an all new belief,desire,passion and determintation has been found . In saying that I am very confident in this sides ability and we are proven to be point scorers this year. The addition of sandow has poured further shame to RS who did not coach him correctly and guide him the way he needed. BA has already shown an ability to coach as we all agree. BA has lifted the spirits of in particular the young forward pack who has held their own against some of the biggest packs in the comp. Yes the tide has turned and we can only get better from here. While we only have 4 home games left from 14 , we do play some of the lower teams now and these last 2 wins will boost our seasons hopes. Their are 3 teams I believe are the threat only to us this year and I will explain why .Should we make the semis we may very well find the dogs,panthers and cowboys in the top 8 which I am predicting now. The Dogs can do anything on their day and have 2009 final to remember which may play a part in our favour should we lay them . The Cowboys are the team I do not want to play in the semis at all , they are dirty for being robbed 2 years in a row and I think the refs will cop a huge reminder should they make the top 8 which means refs are likely to side with them and give them the close calls . For this reason I do not want to play them , they are also our bogey side the past few seasons and they have knocked us out in the past. The Panthers are playing similar to us ,new players ,new hope and they are playing hard every week . The panthers will make the top 8 for sure. Don't worry about the storm , they will not make the top 8. So guys let the countdown begin , Eels can win a GF if they can win 8 or 9 games , 5 or 6 for the remainder of the season and them 3 straight wins . Our problem is we need to be able to win 3 in a row .

I rekon we are a real chance of winning 4 of our next 6 games. If we can manage this we will be in a great postion to make an assault on the 8. Then once in the 8 anything can happen.
