"HFK, Fair point. Sure, we could. But balancing incoming youth with experience is almost a perennial issue. A constant cycle. It never really goes away. At least not for too long. "

Where ya been Horo? Good to see you back mate.
I think that the popularity of Kevvy Walters will be Bennett's demise?
I also agree that his aura is Wayning ;)
I held Wayne Bennett in high regard until he started playing up on his wife who was at home caring for their two children with special needs. Now as far as I'm concerned he can go fuck himself.
He's also shown to be somewhat two faced with players and game issues. Signing players like Roberts and then he has alcohol issues and then it's all covered up.....
I don't care for his personal situation. I do feel for his family big time. That stuff is not our business but media love it.
I realise not totally his fault, but he did play a large role in the situation that the Knights now find themselves in.
He left the place an absolute rabble.
Don't care... he's a tool. Always has been. Would never call him a useless coach but he certainly isn't at the same level all his praise has been at over the years.
Don't like his sons Darius and Ben either.
The Knights are absolutely screwed and Brisbane were a rabble there for a few years when he left too?
Makes you wonder just how much Darius is on? ;/
.."I realise not totally his fault..".
The first few words of my post, Browny.
Now, tell me how the Broncos went when he left. How the Saints have gone since he left and now how the Knights are going? He moves on and takes those players that he wants with him.
Tinkler had a massive impact, McKinnon to a degree, but ol' Wayne certainly left his mark!
I reckon he's well past his use by date now.
Has had a great career and been fortunate enough to coach some Broncos teams that were easily the best teams in the comp at the time. Had a bit more luck with St. George winning the comp the year the Storm were disqualified and the Eels were dealing with Paul Osbourne etc. (That 2010 Grand Final was easily the weakest I have ever seen).
I can't think of anything positive as far as his Newcastle legacy goes.
The Bronc's certainly went down hill big time last year and the players, pretty much to a man, all went backwards.
I'm sure there are more than a couple of people at the Broncos who would be getting nervous.
Time to retire I reckon.
coaches have lost there jobs for no success. Bennett has always had teams stack with international & state players. And when not, when he back on a normal playing field, he quits & goes home!!
