The Elephant in the room

All things aside there is an Elephant in the room that nobody can deny!

Roosters, Storm or Panthers would never have lost that game leading 16/12 with one minute to go.....untill we can openly add us to that list, then we are pissing into the wind.

WE can go away and whinge and talk for ever about individuals, coaches, consultants and every thing else but the BIG question is answer that positively and we have a team we can say has a chance.

I am extremely dissapointed to say that we have learnt nothing from last year, I accept it is early days, but we have failed our early season test.

Much more to come and I aknowledge that Sharks turned up, just dont understand why we were not prepared to do the same.

Cannot believe the dislocation that is taking place over Jake Arthur......BA its time to give yourself an uppercut!

  • But the way I see it Poppa, is that Cronulla weren't much better. Their completion rate was below par, their defence wasn't too bad but our attack was below par making it look better, they had a lot of errors in their game.

I would have accepted it more if they blew us off the park but they didn't, we lost that game ourselves, Cronulla didn't win it.

    • What was the point of what I was saying LB.

      • Well you say Cronulla were up for it, i feel they werent. Neither team was, i agree we were not prepared and bigger clubs would win that game, but Cronulla were not much better. I agreed with most of the blog besides Cronulla being up for it that is all.

  • I'm sorry I don't like it, bloods thicker than water

    • Very astute Shawnee

  • Maybe worthwhile seeing JA as a victim Poppa  in this whole thing.     " Cannot believe the dislocation that is taking place over Jake Arthur..."

  • Poppa we turned up too old boy. That was a good game of footy best of the season so far I reckon in terms of pure quality. Sharkies will be there business end as will we. Couple of tweaks I would like made with our 17.

  • Too many parts to our game that just don't add up

    1. Lack of intensity and physicality, we should be bullying the opposition

    2. Pathetic first contact in defense and too many missed tackles , Papali and lane 7 each

    3. High completion only 2 tries to show for

    4. Flakey edge defense, whats new?

    5. Selecting Jake Arthur at the 11th hour? Not 1 question from so called NRL journalist....

    6. The hype is not real

    7. How much support does BA require? Tactically absent, BA doesn't have the knowledge, expertise, skills  to get this team firing in defense and attack - attack improves then defense falls into a heap..no consistency!!

    8. Seriously any half decent coach with this squad would get this team firing on all cylinders!

    • Most criticisms you make Mick are exaggerated or over the top, your points summary taken individually are very difficult to argue with. The flaky defence and letting Nicho Hynes jog along the line looking for alternatives was crazy. We really do have a problem making ball and all tackles.

Cool story. Maybe for future outlandish statements you should post them before the event, not 48 hours after the result of 1 game and at half time of the second game!!!  On that note, please educate us all what the corrupt NRL have planned for…"

"Great to hear, Pops. Well said.
Plenty of negatives and areas of concern - errors, discipline & roster, all hurting & at vital times…. but it’s where the improvements & positives are that are giving hope, imo.
