Ok, so I have been thinking of the current team and the selection and the BA influence that drives us nuts, I for one would like everyone's top 17 from the 1st 13 to the bench, rotation and minutes.
My 2 cents worth ...
Waqa out completely replaced by Dunster. ESL is calling mate.
Hodgo plays first 25 minutes and probably first 20 of second half, it could be hodgo plays last 20 after a sizable rest to finish off the game (game management).
Hands is a sure thing to give Hodgo that break, he can change the flow of the game in the last 15 minutes first half and take up the balance second half, this guy was great last night as he created more speed and better flow, more game time will only get him more confident.
Simmonson is also not up to scratch albeit he does try.... back to reggies.
Greig is a decent bench / impact player but needs regular 1st grade and fingers crossed better fitness, gassed at around the 4 minute mark however, to his credit dug in.
Makatoa, no impact, offers very little .... must go to reggies

Till Lane is back, I would promote Toni Mataele for some 1st grade experience off the bench.

Coryn I know Carty is a long shot in the center position, but its a temporary fix only and outside the box kinda thing, it may not work, but his predictability and chance factor would be interesting. Blake was good on the wing last year and was decent bringing the ball back out, just not sold atm.
Good selection. I would definitely get rid of Blake and Simmonsen. I didn't think Sivo was much good last night. He never rarely breaks the line of defence. Hodgson should be replaced either permanently or play minimul minutes. Hands should be upgraded to top 30 and be the regular number 9. I also don't think much of Murchie, Makaslower or Grieg who is definitely unfit and overweight. Don't know much about Matele. I think Cini would good value in the centres as he has a bit of mongrel in him.The recruitment definitely needs an X factor player, some better wingers. Cartwright has been very good lately in the forwards and he's best there maybe off the bench
All good points PT, the recruitment office needs to lift it's game. In regards to Hodgo i'd give him limited minutes at best, he seems easily gassed around the 25 minute mark.

Are you saying Waqa is a good finisher. My god that bloke has fuc$%$# up so many scoring oppurtunities, that we dont even recognise them anymore. And bringing the ball back, wow you have a short memory, the number of times he has dropped the ball before bringing it back is laughable. Seriously Waqa makes standing still look difficult.
