A Parramatta boy and former Eels junior, "Wisey" returns to the club with a rich coaching background having coached at Four Rugby World Cups. He returns to his rugby league roots as an Assistant Coach at the Eels, with a focus on attack."
Scott Wisemantel (born 1970), is an Australian former dual code rugby player and current coach, who played rugby union for Eastwood Rugby Club and rugby league for the Parramatta Eels.

Scott Wisemantel is highly-respected and highly-experienced player and coach with a broad-range of coaching experience from World Cups, high pressure RU to working with the Sharks and the Storm's dummy half ruck. On a TCT podcast, John Muggleton recently spoke highly about the skills Scott would bring. Plenty of former players who know Scott, I hear, rate this guy, his character and believe he'll make a difference. I certainly hope so.

The appointment of Scott is a nice positive step for us and something a little different from the usually very insular world of rugby league. Ryles himself has that experience in a different code and I think Scott only adds to that with his experience of elite sport in a different code.
Yes, also from memory I think he scored 2 tries in our U21s GF in 91 or around there somewhere. Playing centre if i recall correctly.

Pleasant change alright. I shake my head to think if that bald headed prick was still in charge no way we have the signings that we have. He would of extended reg and gutho 3 more years same money
We'd have Lomax , and he did pursue JAC but he wasn't attainable until he got sacked and was desperate for a club. But I do agree, we'd be stuck with Gutherson. It was one of my main gripes with Arthur. To chummy with guys that were on too much money.

Im a realist but am hopeful, a journeyman Rugby backs coach (Have the Wallabys actually won a thing ?) and Nathan Brown on Attack coaching duties ...hmmm jury well and truly out ....
Even if we lose every game , as long as I get to see Nathan Brown slap shit outta a few under-performers it'll be a good year 😂😂.
