  • 1986 is my favorite too young for 81,2,3,
  • Welcome to the site Ant! : )

Unfortunately, I was just a twinkle in the sky for the 1986 GF, so I would have to say my favourite ever years were -

2005 - That was the year we discovered Timmy and Benny Smith. We were magic, dynamic and explosive that year. Awesome.

2009 - The run to the Grand Final was just magic.

    Hopefully 2011 can become everyone's new favourite year!! : ) : )
  • A fitting farewell for the Crow and Pricey as well in 86

I know 2001 was an ulimate failure but this team is in the record books as the most attacking team in history. Not a bad effort over 103 years.
  • just delete the last game of 2001 and its a great season. also 98 was good finally made semi's again had our chances in late 90's
  • 2011 because

    a. we will break 2001 points scoring record
    b. will have best defensive record
    c. win minor premiership
    d. win premiership
    e. fill nsw with eels players like the 80's
    f. tahu behaves himself
    g. eels average 40 points a game (FOR)
    h. Hayne scores 3 tries in GF
  • Can someone just invent a time machine already, that way I can go back to the years 81,82,83 & 86, all of which I was not around for?
Hell, I wasn't even a dot on artist's impressionist painting at the time.

    My favourite year?
You know what? I don't actually have a distinct favourite.
Mine is more of watching the players that we have in Luke Burt, Nathan Hindmarsh, Ben Smith, Jarryd Hayne etc. develop over the years into top-notch players.
  • I liked 1999. We were dominant that year.
  • i remember 1993 rd 2 or 3 brisbane had there first game at new ground i think and we beat them mick cronin was coach at the time. ah the good ol upset days when we were never suppose to win
  • i bet it was buzzing in 1981 would of been so much excitement. where did parra finish in 1980?
  • so when did that side become good late 70's or just happen in 81? i guess is was over after 86. what a side
