Id like to introduce the only man on the 2018 Eels crisis review panel with any football knowledge, Russell Coight, sorry, Greg Brentnall.

This is the man our fearless leader Phil Sim has put the kiss of death on/earmarked as the man that will single handedly get to the bottom of our footballing issues.

Maybe he will but id like to ask the question of who this man really is?

Ex bulldogs player, Australian player, whats his credentials and record after his footy career, what teams has he been involved in and helped?? if he is any good why wasnt he a coach and why havnt we heard anything much about him in the land of RL after his playing days?

How do we know hes not Russell Coight?

How do we know hes not going to go straight back to the dogs where hes no doubt got plenty of contacts and expose all sorts of pure filth from our club?

Who is this man? Why should we trust him? whats he done to be qualified to get the job done or have the vision to see whats going on?

Im not saying he's not fit to be doing it, im just looking for reassurance.

  • LET THERE BE BLOOD AT PARRA

The Eels much-publicised internal review is edging towards being finalised and there is expected to be some signifcant casualties.

One area expected to take a hit is the recruitment team, which has come under fire in recent years, for its failure to keep the club's best young stars.

Watch for the blood-letting to begin over the next month.

  • lol All Parra adventures, it's time for another spoon.

  • Meep
  • He has been at Melbourne one of the reasons they have been so successful.
  • According to Wikipedia after retiring at age 26 he was a RL development officer in the Riverina for 13 years, was an assistant coach with the Storm under Chris Anderson, was then moved to a football development manager role with Melbourne and is still there. So if he has any loyalties they aren't to the Dogs.

Bottom line he is experienced not just in footy matters, but more specifically with footy department structure and functionality.

I should also point out that he is just one of 3 people appointed to conduct the review. Shane McCurry & Rob Kerr are both leadership & structure consultants. These guys know the right questions to ask whilst Brentnall has the RL knowledge to know what the answers need to be.
