Representative games bring out the extra aggression and effort from NRL players, would surprise you that a number of players will miss a total of 17-29 games from the Rep week to injuries and suspensions?
This is a huge worry for any team hosting representative players, with origin around the corner the intensity will only rise and so will injuries and suspension.
Accidents and injuries will always happen but has the NRL gone to far with suspensions for accidents? remembering the less NRL players available each week, the less quality the game ("the product") for the spectators to enjoy.
Crowds are down, ratings are down, officiating is poor and elite players are leaving for greener pastures, what has the independent commission actually achieved?
Rugby League is just surviving at best, you can't kill it but you can maim it.
