With the overnight success 4 years in the making, we are seeing Dylan Brown and Shaun Lane both in career best form. I'm wondering what evryone's opinion is to how it has gottten so good.
Is it Dylan finally producing the form that many judges have seen and knew he could produce providing space for Lane to hit the gaps, or is Lane finally realising how big and strong he is that he's dragging defenders to him leaving space for Dylan to cause havoc? Either way it is working most of the time for these 2. The one thing I have noticed though is that they either both work well, or are both quiet in the same game. They don't appear to have one on and one off.
People have been saying we need an X Factor player to take the team to the next level. Maybe we're wanting the wrong thing and we have our own X Factor pairing? These 2 seem to be able to produce something out of nothing and it's usually a fai way from our red zone that will result in tries. Dylan appears to have the higher ceiling from the 2, but if these 2 keep playing together they will be able to take the partnership to a new level.
Hopefully we can keep both of these guys in the future and build around them with fresh players complementing their style. We have said that the same voice for 9 years is too long and we need a new voice, but maybe the answer might also be that getting new ears may also freshen the squad and keep the windo open.

Both are allowed to play like this because our front row pairing has been dominant.
Spot on , when our forwards are dominating , we are a very attractive team to watch
It definitely helps with the bookends form at the moment. All the forwards seem to be singing from the same sheet finally. Nulifying JT on Friday will go a big way to deciding the game.
Dylan Brown has definitely grown and matured in his game but he still does the occasional really dumb stuff
So does Munster. So does Latrell. X factor players take risks which pay off most of the time, but sometimes fail spectacularly.
Not saying Brown is in the same league as the other two yet but there are similarities.
Bcause they play on the same edge their games are very much intertwined as far as match involvement and effectiveness go. If Dylbags is quiet it's gonna be hard for the Laneiac to get much happening. I reckon The Big Drink Of Water is very much reaping the rewards of Dylbros' improvement.
As for why Dylbert's improved so much this year I believe he's simply getting better with age and thus maturity. I don't reckon there was ever a question regarding Dylbanger's ability and potential. He's always going to be a bit of a laid back easy going character but anyone that couldn't see the underlying ability really wasn't looking too hard. I predicted he would light up the semis and so far, so good.
By the way Rusty, say g'day to your older brothers Itchy and Hairy for me mate, hope your sister Cupped is doing well too :)
I'll pass on the wishes to family Kram(if I'm allowed to call you that) my old man saggy felt a bit let down for no shout out though.
On dylbags, it appears that he has his private life a bit sorted out as well. I'm sure the toilet incident last year probably played a lot on his mind. I'm also thinking now that with MM and CG recently having kids they have a better balance in life and seem more relaxed on the field.
Haha
Good point regarding the young blokes private life too mate, my barista (and we all know every good barista has his/her finger on the pulse) told me that Dyl had "simplified" his private life recently and it was paying big dividends- - - could well be the case
" (and we all know every good barista has his/her finger on the pulse)"
Disappointing comment, Krames. What about the they /them and other non Binary pronoun baristas ?
I refuse to let "them" make my coffee.
It's not that I have anything against "them", it's just that I don't know where their hands have been.
