  • LOL, it's kind of like watching the Ben Ross incident in slow motion...

  • I saw that the other day. Quite a contrast in attitude.

This and Sterlo's recent assessment sums up exactly what's wrong with our team.

    • Didn't see Sterlo's assessment, can you give us some background.

Matt Elliott's summary is fascinating reading. Watmough, Reece's positioning in defence and Hoppa's positioning at winger were all mentioned as factors in loss as well as team switching off thinking team had won. Actually don't remember Sandow being mentioned as a factor for the loss but still think using only 15 players big factor in very poor last 23 minutes..

  • I had a breakdown with Matt Elliot watching this...

  • What this tells me is, we need a new Captain who demands respect and rips the shit out of the players behind the goal line. Where was the urgency to get them in a huddle and stop the rot?

Tim Mannah, very nice bloke, still contributing as a player, but not the leader this team needs right now. The players don't fear his voice. I noticed this when he was mic'd up on Sterlo's show once.

    • Didn't Mannah get carted off on the medicab (knocked out)?

  • This has been a constant problem all year and it's what BA is talking about when he calls us a seventy minute team. I've pointed out a bunch of these little no effort passages from Parramatta this year. He was being kind to not call out a few more players - I pointed out in chat Takas pathetic chase back when he got beat which had he hammered it straight away he would have put himself in a position to cover the step inside.

This is the type of stuff that I would have imagined BA would be absolutely fanatical about.

I can't help but laugh but I had this discussion with my eights at training this week. I told them it was everyone's responsibility to be always talking so that everyone keeps their concentration. For me, that's the biggest weakness with this team. We simply have no talkers.

    • This is what's so frustrating. Blind Freddy knows whats broken.

The players talk about it religiously. Why can't they execute it?

Sometimes I get the feeling that the "leave it to Hayne to get us out of trouble" syndrome is at fault. ie, "Leave it to the guy next to me to do it" mentality, with a select few having to do the work of others.

      The video above highlights this.

  • Peats for captain full stop ......
  • What a good lesson in how to lose a game. I've never bagged Tim as a captain before but...maybe he was just too thunderstuck

Think most would agree, it's hard to blame just one after watching this.

"Agreed. The pushed passes did my head in.
In this instance, I just can't see how this contact has been given a grade 2.
