In RL, and in most things in life, the blame game is something I truly hate. Especially in a team sport, I find it really hard to believe that a single individual can be blamed for the poor performances of an entire team over an extended duration. Further, I think it is looking for a quick fix to champion the dropping of one player.
So, this is just a small blog to ask you all to consider wiping the slate clean and looking forward to 2011 as a fresh season.
Contrary to what some members might believe, getting rid of Matt Keating to Wenty will not make 2011 a success. Dropping Burty, one of our most passionate, consistent, faithful and talented role models will not make 2011 successful. Criticising JP on his season, when all it took was a little time for him to settle, is not going to change our fortunes in 2011.
The talent that was there in 2009 has not dissipated. We have lost players heading into next season, but with the additions of Shack, Webb, Maitua and the exciting prospects of young guys like O'Hanlon, Loko and Murray - I really think that 2011 is looking bright.
So instead of already proposing changes for next year, perhaps we give that discretion to the coach and give each and every player the opportunity to prove themselves in a new season. : ) : ) : )
Disclaimer: This post focuses purely on the players, I am not talking about management.

I'm glad someone was able to cut through all the BS that's been written on here since the end of the 2010 season. I agree 100%.
Unfortunately, such demand saw Ando as the scapegoat for last years poor result.
we have a new coach and I intend to support him wholeheartedly but I cannot help feeling very sorry for Ando, who I think is a great coach.
