Wow Wow Wow, what a fantastic performance from Ash Barty, I had tears in my eyes, I was so happy, so proud of Ash, she does Australia proud every time she steps onto the court, a true champion with now 2 prestigious Grand Slams The French open and the big one Wimbledon. Such a lovely person who deserves all her success, she is humble and strong, so proud of her, so happy for her, 50 years in the making.
Go you good thing Ash Barty, you have done every Australian proud and best of luck for the remainder of the year and 2022

YEE HAA!! Congrats Ash. So excited and proud for you. Enjoy the moment darling. I teared up too Hunter. I think most Aussies would have. The commentators could hardly talk. Beautifully put by the way. Could not have said it better myself.
Great start winning the first 14 points, her opponent started very nervously and it cost her the match. I thought Ash blew it when she was serving for the match in the 2nd set and dropped serve then lost the set in the tie breaker, it was a tremendous job to regain momentum at the start of the 3rd set. If only her first serve was better she would have won in 2 quite comfortably and I could have gone to bed earlier.
What a fantastic person she is, it's fantastic to see a champion sports person so humble and gracious.
Agree with everything you say
Sensational win by Ash. Just like that another Aussie sporting legend is made :)))
What a night of sport it was. Over inFrance, about 10 minutes before Ash served for the match, Dutchman Bauke Mollema took out stage 14 of the Tour de France for my fave team Trek Segafredo aboard a mighty Trek Emonda SLR9. Check out the paint on that bike!
What a night of lockdown sport it was - just what we needed :))
Who is she ?
Wimbledon champion, the current world number one ranked female women's player, Australia's second ever world number one ranked female tennis player after Evonne Goolagang Cawley, A great Australian legend, a member of the Ngaragu people, indigenous to southern New South Wales and northeastern Victoria.
All power to her. What a little champion.
Tennis ? Good on her . We've really slumped in sports on the world stage . I don't watch tennis or follow it but it's pretty sad that even someone who doesn't follow it has never heard of her in our media . Shows the toll this Covid things taken on the information we are receiving .
LOL - hard to argue with Trev
Imagine being that bitter that you have to put yourself on show with a pathetic negative response to the PM. If he didn't congratulate the girl the same spud would be tweeting how terrible he is .
