The BA Appreciation Blog

Considering players are getting blogs about how well or poorly they are playing, I wanted to put one up for our Coach.

Over the past few years we here have been pretty divided over his ability, credentials, experience, and the stories that preceded him.

and even though we were starting from a low set bar, we argued about his improvements to the team and where we were placed on the ladder.

Now to this year, we have been singing the praises of our defense, improvementS of Terepo, Taka, Norman. Our stamina, concentration. Our halves working together and even our recruitment etc.

Yes, all these need 100% input from the players, but for me there is one reason for these improvements, BA.

He has managed to see where we needed improvement and target players to fill those holes, create a team culture second to none (esp considering whats happening around them), got their fitness to levels never seen before, self belief and belief in your team mates has improved. But as Foran originally stated, he manages to take players games to another level. Players like Scott who did get up for SOO, but week to week would be fairly avg, has now become a week to week SOO intensity type play. Someone who not only mops up and gets the job done but someone who also inspires those around him.

All this is not just a random coincidence, it is part of a plan, BA's plan, and I for one salute him for his efforts so far and believe that this is only just the start.

WELL DONE BRAD.......

  • Jennings was interviewed by Fitler after the game last night.
One answer made me very happy. Jennings said that the team knew that if they stuck to their structures they would come home strongly in the last 10.
    THAT'S EXACTLY EHAT HAPPENED!

That comes from great coaching. A very different attitude to previous years. This team knows what they are capable of and it's a massive improvement.
  • Agree he has done an outstanding job and we are playing a very Broncos like game as opposed to the Tigers like game that we used to be. Might not be as exciting but it gets you in finals. Incredible turn around but we could see the progress since he took over and adding a few astute buys transformed the team to another level
  • I rated him from the start.
I never labelled him a 'bush coach' like some on here. (Yes Fong I know you apologised to BA but still. You hammered him here for years. )
  • He communicates and mentors to the ones that count apparently . Dosent he talk to you knucklehead , dont want to focus on negatives , you are a negative , you post on here and have no idea what your talking about ,communicating and mentoring the players is one of his greatest attributes but im only going on what every player says but then you know more tthan anyone else on the site according to yourself ,
  • I see youve made a new friend Poppa

Get your own bloody Unicorn hahaha

  • Yes but neither is Mr Bennett and Mr Gibson, but look what they achieved.

  • Always rated him
  • With all that's going on and as ametur hour as the goings on have seemed to be I going to add that Sharp deserves some credit as well . Love him or hate him , whether he goes , stays or is lynched out of town my political feelings are quite neutral atm however I think he's input into assembling this team ( albeit legally or illegally is under question ) has also been quite substantial .
    • I thought BA handpicked and assembled it in spite of the board ???????
  • Where was Foz during the interview after the game? Jennings was in his place.
