  • X2. If all of today's events simply mean we can play for points even if the 5 don't walk away by nxt Friday it's hardly a win. The findings are preliminary though so nothing has actually been "taken" and we are still on 12 points until finalised. Unless a massive miscalculation has occured to do with the quoted 570K, it would seem unlikely I think? But how do they decide how many we keep? If we were over by 100K not 570K, it's still over? But if previous clubs didn't lose all points for being 100K or similar over the cap, then what? Very complex matter. Boy it'd be funny if the NRL have been too quick and not thorough enough somehow.
  • They've also said they might not allow us to keep any points we do win from next week. They've buggered this up royally no matter which side of the fence you sit.
  • Didn't they do this already with the 465K fine? Or are there additional alleged retrospective breaches?

  • based on the nrl rules and precedence (the warriors from a few years ago) best case scenario for parra would likely be a loss of 4 points and we get to compete this year? Worst case (from a fan point of view) is that we have an unconfirmed penalty hanging over our heads all season and end up getting all points stripped very late in the season.

  • What happens to the 4 points loss that was suspended last year?

"Pass, Matt Burton would be a step backwards. Not a match-winner and too slow / immobile."

"De Belin will do a lot of the clean up work, the 3rd man in for our defence. Hopgood is now not alone in that area. He will not be flashy but he will definately do his job."

"positives are Loiero is out. That is a big piece of their middle, he does a lot of clean up work in defence, tightens up the attack. No Katoa and they are umming and arring whether to play Ativalu Lasati or Joe Chan on right edge.
