"De Belin will do a lot of the clean up work, the 3rd man in for our defence. Hopgood is now not alone in that area. He will not be flashy but he will definately do his job."
"positives are Loiero is out. That is a big piece of their middle, he does a lot of clean up work in defence, tightens up the attack. No Katoa and they are umming and arring whether to play Ativalu Lasati or Joe Chan on right edge.

I made a similar point in an earlier blog; when a years retired Matt King scores the winning try in golden point in souths vs sharks last year, how can the NRL say the teams must comply with the cap?
If the Eels management and legal team handle this even semi professionally we will walk away with more chocolates than they tried to take from us. The fact that the club did wrong will become irrelevant.
who care we got the money for winning that
I don't think anyone would argue that the eels didn't win the 9's fair and square. Every team used a lot of 2nd tier and fringe players. Salary cap is irrelevant.
Fine take it off us but ask anyone, the Eels won the 2016 9's.
The storm were over the cap in 2010, and in round 8 were stripped of all points and allowed to play for none for the rest of the year. That year was over. However, they'd already won 2 premierships by then. The fans had already celebrated. Ask the players whether they won the comp that year and every single one of them would say yes. None would say no. Same with the fans. The eels won the 9s this year and it's the first really good feeling I've ever had being an eels fan. Even though they've officially taken it off us, they can't take that feeling away from me. Ask Cameron King who won the 9s this year.
The Bulldogs on the other hand were stripped of 37 points in round 25. That's it. They were up there. It was on track to be a premiership year. Nothing to cheer about the last few seasons. I think being a fan of the dogs in 02 would've been the worst feeling in the world.
