The 2018 Disaster- Why did it happen?

The disasterous season threw up several reasons why it went belly-up.

- Cutting out coaching support staff to BA with senior admin looking to cut corners in order to balance the books?

- BA not changing the team's gameplay from 2017?

- Mitch Moses and Corey Norman stepping on each others toes?

- The way refs whistled the game which we never addressed making us one of the most penalised teams in the comp?

- Having a AFL trainer for pre-season conditioning?

- Jarryd Hayne being a polarising figure

- Players been unprofessional (Norman - Edwards- Tony Williams)?

- Some players not good enough?

All the above?

  • Oh please not another Jarryd Basher !!!! Come on Parra Fan get over it and enjoy whats happening now.

    Go You Mighty Eels !!!!

    • Personally I love Jarryd and I don't blame him at all for last season. IMO he was the only player to perform consistantly and the games we won were on the back of his brilliance and skill. I put him in the reasons because he too was blamed by fans and media alike.

      • Cant argue with that Parra Fan. I too thought Jarryd was giving his all, and played better then most in that team.  No matter what poeple think about his choices, he was up there in the group with our best players ever. Its a  shame the bloke made some terrible decisions. Anyways this team now is giving us same great times and some great memories. Moses scoring that first try against the tigers Rnd 1, Sivo staying back after last weeks game for near an hour signing autographs, so was Meroa ,Mau and Dylan Brown, he even gave away his footy boots. lol

        Go Parra

  • Players going a year too long, weak wingers and big egos.

  • I'll say Corey Norman... Look what he's done for the Dragons.... But there's still time for all those predictions to come true that he'll be the next Lockyer, all that prase he recieved as a rookie LOL!

  • Too high. Too hard. Who gives a shit its gone.

  • It was the recession we had to have.

      • Young kids won't get that line Mick.

  • Personally, thinking back to 2018 season it was the tries that Jarryd scored with his brilliance that stood out for me sure brad made mistakes but I am sure he learn a lot from that year to.

  • 1. small wingers got pumped on every kick return

    2. Moses' heads wasnt rreally in the game

    3. No home ground
