This is an extract from a Daily Telegraph article.
The current list of $1m-plus playmakers includes Daly Cherry-Evans, Michael Morgan, Cameron Munster, Milford, Ash Taylor, Nathan Cleary, Mitchell Pearce, Ben Hunt and Kieran Foran. Jack Wighton is said to be on $900,000-plus and Cody Walker is also in that ballpark after signing his new deal.
Obviously Foran isn’t worth that the Dogs got sold a lemon there.
How many of these player do you think are actually worth that now?

Consistent proven halfbacks are the only players worth it. They are just so hard to find. Cleary, DCE and Pearce (at club level) are always thereabouts and never really go missing. They are also good defenders for halfbacks.
Nathan Cleary is not worth a million dollars a season. One of the most overrated players in the comp.
NRL standard halfbacks are hard to find. Why do you think St George took a massive risk on Hunt's huge contract. Halfbacks are extremely important and hard to find.
He had a blinder last night, the kid is getting close to the mill.
Only 2 on that list that is worth it. Munster and Dce, still wouldn't want Dce though.
Very strange. Some players need to sack their managers, others need to buy them a case of their favourite every week.
DCE, Munster are the two that are the obvious ones, but, and I'll get ridiculed for this, but Kieron Foran is worth it to the Dogs in the sense they are clearly a better team when he plays. I'm not suggesting they should have paid that much, but value is relative to the teams needs.
None of them. Thurston was the last player to be worth that much and I dont think he was getting $1mil
I agree with this not one of those player are worth $1M a season.
The only one that is close IMO is Munster he is the only one on that list that can change the outcome of a game by himself. Still not worth a cool mil a season.
