Thanks From All The Kids !!!!

In all that is happening and is about to happen today , give some thought to all those young Eels fans who will be copping it and feeling pretty rotten . These young diehard fans who live their dreams through their favourite players and team, who wear the jerseys with pride, who cheer the loudest, and who cry the hardest when their beloved Eels lose. The young ones who have copped the crap from their mates at school every Monday for the last few years but who finally could go to school feeling good. The ones that will try and be brave today, but who bear no blame for the selfish adult world that has created the situation that will unravel today. These kids will feel it the most, and yet have been forgotten by everyone !!Well done to EVERYONE who in some selfish way has contributed to today . You think that you love your club , but you have forgotten where it all began for you , as young kids who loved the blue and gold !!!Hang your heads in shame and think of how those kids are feeling , all because of your selfishness and massive egos !!

  • Well said
  • I cry after a loss more then my 9 year old !
    • Think of those who support eels in one team town . My poor son at school , he won't wear parra colors anymore prob :-((
  • Exactly me & my two sons got three trains to get to the game against the Bulldogs the ot night didn't get back home to well after 1 in the morning & they had the time of their lives. All my eldest has been talking about is saving his money to get a new jersey to ware with pride & how we can get to as many games as possible. Now when we got our two wooden spoons in a row he was uncomfortable at school because he was copping it off all his mates for going for Parra & all he wanted was his team to be competitive so he could give some back too. I told him as my dad told me, stay strong & when your team comes good all the hard times you have been through makes the rewards all the more enjoyable. Now that he has all this, it is about to be ripped out from under his feet, he asked me last night would he find out before he went to school, I said no. This whole scenario is really hurting me but watching what it is doing to my son is killing me.

"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"
