Thankfully Jarryd didnt waste another year..

As we celebrate Fathers Day, with another team disaster, its interesting to reflect.

Jarryd was able to summon all the belief, confidence, determination and talent to make it against all the odds in a sport he has never played.

Our team however continued to waste the talent and demonstrated that they don't possess even 1% of the above qualities that Jarryd has displayed

I am happy for Jarryd that he didn't waste another year carrying this team.

From the front office right through to the playing staff, I think you take the fan base for granted. After 29 years of oblivion it is wearing thin.

I will be watching the NFL with interest.

  • If we had him we would of made the 8

    • Absolutely, well said
  • A fair opinion but the biggest disappointment has been the incompetence of our board.
Well done to Jarryd an awesome achievement. So glad he didn't have to endure our season
Sure as shit we would have stuffed up his contract.
  • Wake up. It was Jarryd's very late decision that left Parramatta without a marque player/ fullback, and fuck all chance at signing anyone for every player was already signed.

Waste another year not - for Jarryd fucked our chances of having a successful season. Thems the facts.
    • Do you blame him.
    • Well the positive is we've managed to sign another marque in a more important position - half, and Foran is a more reliable person than Jarryd.
    • No fong. I'm saying Foran is more reliable for he doesn't go missing for extended periods.
    • Far out if we had hayne all those just lost games would not have happened top 8 easy i reckon but i also reckon top eight next year will happen.
  • You can not blame Hayne. Good on him for chasing his dream and the best of luck to him. Yes it was a late call but to go to another country and play a sport he never played is a big call so you can not blame him for taking his time. As I said good luck as he gave his all and will be remembered as 1 of the most skilled and talented players to play the game and an eel great.

    • I don't blame Hayne for chasing his ambitions, but how many Parramatta supporters are happy we've finished bottom 4 - 5 yet again - none.

"It was. Mainly because Read came off as a total fuckwit. While it's nice to see (most of) the media on our side in this case, it;s really hard not to be."
