Thank you Steve Sharp

Current allegations aside , I thought it was worth amongst the hype of our win to mention Sharpy and his promise to return us to our former glory . Well on field he's definitely done it .Yes BA is the coach , I'm perfectly aware of that however Sharp ultimately is the man who's put the puzzle together ( whether he trimmed a few of the pieces to make them fit is yet to be seen ) , he backed BA and let's not forget not that long ago the media vultures were circling BA and Sharp for the second time said he's going nowhere , well both have proved me wrong in their own ways and I'm happy to say it . After the Foz contract dramas I called for Sharp to stand down , whether if he did then would affect where our team is today nobody will know , but back then I called him an amateur who shouldn't be running the show , this fact may still be true however it's undeniable even for the dental experts in town Fong :) that Sharp has forfilled his promise and deserves recognition for the effort . So well done and thank you Steve , even with the way things are playing out in the media for mine our team seems to be a respected powerhouse once again thanks to the decisions you've made .It joys me to think of guys like Spagnolo , Price and Grothe rocking backwards and forwards on the floors of their respective showers trying to scrub the bitterness off their bodies with every win :)

    • Whilst I still think JT is a decent coach with a very tough job over there , given the time and backing of the club he will come good . But I reckon it would've been a much tougher and harder slog to get where we are now under him then BA . Brad seems to have that ability to attract players that only few coaches possess ( could be something to do with TPAs yet lol ) , JT is a smart coach however I think is the type of coach who'll need to find / develop his own talent . JTs biggest problem is he's stuck with pretenders like Farah.

Knowing we needed quick success I reckon that's why Steve stuck to his guns with BA . I wonder where we'd be if we were still trying to base our whole game around a rockstar fullback ( who again Steve happily let go )
  • Well said Wiz.

Hard to imagine the difficulty involved trying to get things right at Parra and woulda been a hard enough job even for experienced operators to deal with our undeniable vipers nest I imagine.
No matter what Sharp deserves credit for hanging in there, doing his best to do what he set out. Can't be for the money...would've spent in all that on panadol poor bugger.

Said all along the only difference between us and the rest of every single other club through all this recent stuff, is the despicable leakers.

Sharp doesn't deserve to go out shamed that's for sure)...pss weak to suggest otherwise for me based on what's been brought up in the press on this. He just seemed to trust too much as I'm sure his found out the hard way himself.
Who knows if anything else comes up, but I'm really hoping sharp is remembered as a bloke who really did have good honest intent regardless.
  • Waiting for Frankie.
  • Good blog Wiz, Steves deserves plenty of credit for getting the club a great coach and delivering on his promise of giving us quality team, weve also got the new training facilities which is no small thing, Steve delivered with those promises and can hold his head high when he walks in regards to footy.

He has shat all over what Spagnolo delivered, totally put Roy to shame. If Steve had the Smarts of Dennis Fitzgerald, combined with his footy knowledge it would be a very good combo.

Credit where credits due and i thank Steve for his efforts with the footy side of things too.

  • As I said to a mate the other day , I'd rather win all year and come last than lose all year and come last Fong lol .
    • It would be nice to win all year and come first.

    • I hope we come last Wiz.

My holiday plans will be stuffed if we make the semis :).

      • Hahaha have to agree tank making plans in September used to be easy. Now I have them on hold. My wife despises BA for this.
      • Frank, Frank, Frank, mate, I planned my wedding, honeymoon, my kids births, Christenings, birthday parties, I won't attend a wedding, birthdays if they fall on game day unless they have Foxtel. I have no control over funerals though most fall on weekdays.

My immediate family check the NRL draw before organising an occasion.
