  • Well dont mitch, kids are a dime a dozen but a premiership is gold.

    • After seeing what my wife went through during 18 hours in labour mate, FaceTime doesn't cut it!

I think it would have been worse watching JA "control the team" for 80 mins though!

      THANK YOU MM!

      • Tbh I would've done the same as Mitch but he's definitely in the minority so bless his soul. Selfless and a team player.....

        • I look at it this way , he's earning around $40,000 a game , I think winning a comp and increasing that will be more important to his wife and child than being there for the birth. Now I'm a a father , I get it , but I'm also not a high earning NRL sports  star with a grand final on the line. To be honest I don't think it's really a debate. He can have more kids.

He's worked his whole life to win a GF .  In years from now it'll be " hey dad you weren't there for my birth " " oh here kid have a new car "

          • Lol ruthless but true.If I had the choice to earn millions and play a grand final then it's not even a choice. These players are paid for their sacrifice during the season and then they get 6 month off

          • Wizards Sleeve thats a v good point and it's each to their own. MM is a smart boy and he'd have spoken with his wife. Nrl does not last forever

            • Mate he will earn millions more over the next few years as a premiership winning halfback. As a father , financial security trumps anything for my kids. Plus , what kind of a father will he be when he resents his family for the next 50 years for making him miss his shot at a GF 😂.

Fuck, knowing what I know now , I'd have ditched my little shits births just to watch us play in a GF. Fuck I'd have missed it just to listen to us play in a GF on the radio. It' was horrific.

                • No , as I said , he shoud've pulled out for another couple of weeks.  Next Father's Day someone needs to buy him a calander to help plan his next one.

              • Wizards Sleeve agreed, and i am sure the wife will be happy too mate. I would have been divorced mate, our first boy was not coming out properly and his heart rate was dropping, so it was getting serious and my wife had an emergency caesar....that part was a little concerning! But a GF qualifier.....hmmmm not sure

              • 😂😂😂😂

"No, my point is more about Lomax's team saying they had exhausted all the opportunities they had on the table with the other NRL teams that were interested, none were, and the only offer came from Storm. Then they could say Parra are restricting…"
