Thank you for a great year

As 2023 winds down, i wanted to thank everyone on this site for a great year. I do talk a lot, as my family mention can be a pro and con about myself. I have mentioned in the past that my Dad was the one i would talk to all the time and he loved me talking about anything, i have his same traits. When he passed my mum even mentioned how i seemed quieter than usual during footy season due to not having that person to talk to. COVID also being stuck at home she feared i would be distant from everyone as i wouldn't have a connection or get my urge to discuss what i love, footy, to anyone. This site is that source for me.

I have had disagreements with a few here, though i also understand and value that as important for a site like this to function. Discussions and debates i value and look for, i seek it and love it. Many here have been so nice to me, too nice if anything. Some here give me hard truths and i appreciate that to with either agreement or disagreement.

Though i look forward to 2024, it is my distraction. I thank those here who are happy to have a discussion with me as it fills some of the void left by my father. I do have a brother who loves footy but the amount of talking i do and how my brain works analysing the game his eyes glaze over and cannot keep up. He is a very good footy brain, better than mine having played at a high level but he also likes breaks from the game too after playing it so much during the year. Dad was that source for me, he was the only one able to keep up.

Thankfully here i have others who love a conversation. So again, thank you all, hope you had a Merry Christmas and New Years, i may write a blog before new years if i think of something or news comes out, but if not i look forward to what the year brings us in 2024.

  • I love reading your stuff - I learn so much from it so Thankyou !!!

whilst I may not be engaging much in the convo it definitely adds to my knowledge and I really respect your thoughts

    have a great new year

    • Why thanks Carlo, at times I feel people just say it to be nice. Though I do it cause I love doing it I guess

Love your humour here. Happy New Years to you.

  • love your work, don't always agree but respect your ideas. hope you had a great Christmas and have an even greater new year.

    • That is the thing Shane, though disagreeing can happen does not mean respect cannot be there. Some people in life disagree with someone then disregard their thoughts there on out no matter what they say. Though it is good to disagree on some things and agree on others as it keeps it well rounded. I would hate people agreeing with me just to be nice, vice versa disagreeing to be nasty. If it is balanced it becomes genuine.

  • Don't agree with a lot you have to say but I definitely respect your opinion.

Merry Christmas mate and I hope you have a great New Year.

    • I thought we were 50/50 on opinions BEM haha

      • I'll go along with that LB.

        Cheers mate.

        • So at least you can agree with me on that hahah.

          • Well what do you know.  We can agree on something 😄

  • I agree with everything you say, but I hope your 2024 is crap
