I know we won but I'm so annoyed the ref had an absolute shocker in that first half. The ref was 100% the reason we were making mistakes. He wasn't calling the ruck infringements (hands all over the ball) in that first 20 or so and it frustrated us out of the game.
Watch it again, the ref 100% lost control. Then two ruck infringements called in the second half and away we went. Some might say, "so what at least we won", but for against is important and so are my stress levels. As a fan the ref shouldn't have affected my blood pressure like that lol

Hilarious stuff. Ref had nothing to do with our first half mistakes, we were dumb, ref was more than fair to us.

I think you should watch what teams get away against us in the red zone bob.
'yes we did have dropped balls , but we are always made to look pedestrian because they are allowed to get away with slowing down too much in red zone
a lot of ruck infringements/holding down way too long by the dogs in the first half that were missed. Big change in the second half was they weren't getting away with it
Think you'll find a 65% completion rate at halftime had something to do with the score line at the half. Had nothing to do with the ref. Opacic, Blake and Lane had butterfingers in the first half. We were terrible and the dogs were solid.
I noticed the dogs were holding down a lot in that first half, trying to slow the play down. Having said that, we made quite a few mistakes, and were as flat as last week's beer. Luckily we turned it around
I agree with you. I thought Cecchin was ordinary and he has been for many weeks. He was always one of the better refs. He misses too many things. The set restarts should have been double what they were.
mate the whole process of refereeing and bunker offiating has been diabolical the past few years but now with the new rules of six again and sin bin around head high tackles the atrocious controlling of games by the offials has gone down the gurgler. Its really pathetic and its affecting game results and momentum shifts all the time.
