Tepai Moeroa

It has been mentioned that BA plans to put Moeroa up front next year, apparently Lussick will not be re-signed.

Would prefer a bigger body than Moeroa up front. He is more effective running at smaller players than the big boppers imo. Can someone tell me why Moeroa doesn't pass the ball? Did in 20s I believe. That could mean Mannah and Moeroa up front and no ball playing by both!

Also small front row will get smashed by bigger packs, sorry BA, I can see another wooden spoon on horizon.

  • tepai is showing signs that he might be injured/disinterested and isnt playing as well as he could.

    • Lot of fans are showing the same signs
Must be hard to go and get bashed up each week just to lose
    • Tepai was a star in the lower grades, playing in teams that could actually win....

    •  He was put into 1st grade too soon--as I warned about several times. He should have been put back in U20 and kept there while he is eligible. He looks as though he has had the stuffing knocked out of him--as I warned. Its an ill  wind. Bevan French may be saved the same fate from Tepai`s example. But that does not do Tepai any good though.

  • We get another spoon next year you bet your life on it

  • Moeroa is one of the bigger bodies in our team 190cm and 111kg (if you believe his profile) and is only 19 turning 20. Do you think Wicks is too small at 190cm and 106kg (If you believe his profile)? In fact if you shift Moeroa to the front row he adds to the size of it. How is Moeroa small?

Most forwards are more effective running at smaller players anyway. Moi Moi was more effective running at smaller players, but did he play on the edge? Nope, because he had terrible lateral movement. I want Tep playing a lot of minutes next year, and with Beau Scott and Manu Ma'u holding the edge positions, both are 60 minute+ players, Moeroa won't get much time on the field. Better off moving him into the middle where he can play 30-50 minutes per week and it would suit his game much more.

    • Hi Ham
Why would it suit his game more?
  • Played his best game last week. Can't see him being put in the front row for at least another 4 years.
  • No, he said bet your life on it so he will have to do something more drastic than just leave this site ;-).
