Tepai Moeroa

What is everyone's thoughts on him? It's looking more and more likely he won't be in the 13 let alone 17. I'm pretty gutted for him tbh.... The 12 has been his jersey the last 2 years and really started to develop and nice combo with Moses down that edge last year. Short ball close to the line he is very hard to stop. If he doesn't get a start I wouldn't be surprised if he starts looking around for somewhere else to play.... IMO he deserves the 12. Taka's more of a utility for mine. Can play 13 / 2nd row / outside backs and even in the halves.

  • He will be in there mate it’s only early days yet.

    • He has time, but he is in danger of being overtaken by Niukore.

Right now he is behind Manu, Taka & Edwards on the edge forward depth chart. I wouldn't say this year is make or break for him, but he needs to grab every opportunity this year because there might not be many of them.

    • Not behind taka.
Do you have shares in taka ?
  • Even if he isn't in the top 17 in the begining, there will be injuries and suspensions and he'll get his shot to prove he deserves a top 17 spot.

I like Tep too but he simply hasnt stepped up. 2 years ago I would have been expecting him to be in the origin side by now.

  • He should be starting in the backrow IMO, then move into the middle when Edwards comes on.

  • Early days mate he's a quality player.
  • He’ll be ok.

  • Reckon he’ll be on the 12 in round 1. He spent a bit of time with the rehab group in the later part of the off season which explains him not starting in the trial
  • I think he should be starting a starting backrower over Taka but certainly hasn’t lived up to the hype he had on him a couple of years ago. Needs to get an offload added to his game imo but still young so plenty of time

  • * I'm surprised he isnt in the plans for round 1

    * But I'd imagine Arthur knows far more than I do about footy teams.

    * Arthur seems to like three middle forwards and a edge forward on the bench so that means he misses the bench as well because you'd imagine Edwards would be preferred for round 1.

    * Injuries will occur at some stage anyway.

    * Tepai will get his chance

"He was provided all the legal advice before signing the release and understood the stipulations. Just because R360 didn't eventuate doesn't mean he can force his way out of it lol. Spoilt brat defence is not going to work for Lomax or the storm 🤣 "

Hell On Eels replied to Johnny Suede's discussion Lomax legal promise could create salary-cap headache for Storm
"LB, Eli, good stuff gents. We've acted in good-faith. By the book. With clean hands. Lomax appears not to. Still, equity is not unlikely to view an NRL-wide 3-year restraint until 31Oct 28' as overly-punitive and read it down.
We'd still win,…"
